The White Shirt Project: Look 4

I recently went for a radical change in my look. For those of you who have been following me on Instagram would know that I decided to chop my hair somewhere in mid- December 2014. Would this be the end of my fashion blogging career? Was this a fashion suicide? I have had medium to long hair for about a decade now. And while I loved the long hair look, it was also high maintenance. So I decided to risk it all and chop the long tresses off. My biggest inspiration to doing this was the Indian actress Sonakshi Sinha. I think the decision to cut her hair was really bold – especially considering that she is part of the Indian Film Industry that expects its leading ladies to have long hair. Not many a times do we see a bollywood movie where the leading lady sports a bob or a pixie. Sonakshi Sinha’s bob in real life came as a breath of fresh air. And then the pixie that Anushka Sharma sported for the movie PK, got me thinking that it was time to cut mine too.

Now one of the major misconception about short hair is that a girl with short hair looks like a tomboy. It isn’t the cliched ladylike attribute. So I decided to break that myth and do this post – sporting my new hairstyle with a midi skirt and a white shirt. I had initially decided to do my first post with the short hair in a pair of denims and shirt but then I need to break the “girls should have long hair” myth.

So tell me:
